6th Boudoir Photo Session

Photo Shoot 2005

This years shoot took place on Saturday 26th March at the New Boudoir, I had of course been to the new location on numerous times, but this was going to be the first photo shoot there. The weekend of the shoot was also Easter weekend which was brilliant or lucky planning on my part, it meant I was able to leave early on the Thursday and take my time getting ready for the shoot on Friday.

After leaving work on the Thursday I had an appointment with Nas for my waxing session, as it was for a photo shoot, Nas was even more through than usual, and every time I screamed, she just cackled more ripped out more hair (sometimes with her teeth) and told me if I wanted to be a girl I had to suffer. Anyone in the Chingford area of London that night, please accept my apologies for my screaming.

I got up fairly early on the morning of the shoot, and the head was not to back after the red wine the night before, which is a good sign and helps if you are trying to have a close shave. After repacking my bags and then putting in spare outfits just in case I was finally ready to leave for the Boudoir, I think every year I take more stuff and this year I had three heavy bags.

I got to the Boudoir to be greeted by Sean and after a cup of coffee he set to work on my make up, after about 45 minutes we had a phone call from Jodie who was ill and was going to be unable to get into, this was a bit of a blow as Jodie was lending me a dress for the shoot and she knows how to make me smile in the pictures.

Unperturbed by this change of plans Sean leapt to my rescue and did a brilliant job of the make up and by the time Mike (the photographer) arrived we were all ready to go. As you know Mike is Jodie’s father and he has photographed me in the vast majority of my shoots so I am comfortable with him, however Jodie’s is the one that usually makes me laugh and smile in the shoots either by making faces or shouting abusive comments. Without Jodie being there I think I am more serious in the pictures this year, but I was really pleased with the way they came out and between the three of us we came up with some great ideas and looks.

At the mid point of the shoot a taxi arrived at the studio, in it was the dress Jodie had promised to lend me for the shoot, it was great of her to get out of bed and arrange to send the dress in the taxi for me. The second from last set of pictures was a Bunny girl outfit and during these I was put into positions, which I did not think, were possible at my age.

All to soon it was the end of another shoot, and I was able to take the coat hanger out of my mouth, hunch my shoulders up and let my stomach go. Once again thanks to Mike and Sean for a great day and I look forward to next years shoot.

Outfit 1

This was a blue and silver striped top which Meredith had gotten me for xmas from the shop she works in, in New York, I teamed this up with a very short pleated denim skirt, flesh coloured tights and lycra boots which were also purchased from New York. It was the first time I wore the top and was pleased with the way it looked.

Outfit 2

A leather skirt and matching jacket from Next with brown boots and flesh tights, this was an outfit that I had seen in the Next catalogue last year I thought it looked great and ordered it and have kept it in storage waiting for this shoot.

Outfit 3

Another next outfit this was a white trouser suit, which had worn previously on the riverboat trip last year. I teamed this up with bright pink shoes and a hint of bright pink bra. My jewellery also had a touch of pink in it. Mike the photographer said that he was trying to create a wedding look with these pics, not sure I imagined my wedding day to be like this.

Outfit 4

This was in fact the aforementioned dress from Jodie, which I now believes has been worn more times by Boudettes than Jodie herself. He dress is a leopard print effect, which I teamed up with leopard print shoes, Jacket and matching bag.

Outfit 5

This was a black Bunny girl outfit, which was again purchased in America, I teamed this up with the obigilatory fishnets and high heels, unseen in the pictures are the safety pins holding the outfit together.

Outfit 6

This was the traditional end of shoot underwear pictures and this year it was a white basque with matching shoes, stockings and gloves. I must admit the corset was tight and it was a real relief to get it off.
