2017

Wednesday 4th January

Well Christmas and New Year were over and all my new toys had been played, I had watched all my new Blu rays and been to the sales, so what was a gurl to do. Luckily Jodie had arranged a New Years make over deal and as I was still off work I took advantage of this offer.

Jodie had gone away for a couple of days and so the makeover was left to her assistant, and my fellow Essex resident Victoria. After an initial problem with be unable to contact Victoria we were finally ready to go.

I had no particular look in mind and gave Victoria free hand to come up with anything she wanted, she did not do anything to radical, but there were a few little differences from my usual look, she also had free reign on hair and came up with a curly look that I tend to like.

I had got a few new dresses in November, but there was one particular dress which I really liked, but they did not have my size. However a week before Christmas they got my size in and I had decided to wear this dress for the day.

Wedesday 8th March

I gave Jodie a bundle of clothes after my annual clear out and she said I could get a makeover and some pictures as a Thank you.  Between the time of me donating the clothes and making an appointment a few months passed, but eventually we were able to agree a date.

By this time Jodie had moved, not far, but still meant a stressful drive along commercial run in London, especially when the power goes on your phone and you have no idea where you are going. Eventually I was able to find it and after negotiating the concierge and an entry phone system that did not work I arrived.

I thought I’d wear something different thought the pictures, so purchased a top and some leather look leggings, with which I wore suede ankle boots.  I think I looked ok another reason for the shoot was that Jodie had purchased a new light and wanted to try out different angles with it. I believe I was the second guinea pig. We managed to get in about sixty pictures.

Photo shoot Monday 26th June

Having done a photo shoot last year for my 50th birthday, I did not intend to do one this year, however the Boudoir Empire had expanded to Stafford and that gave the opportunity for some outdoor pictures.

The venue for the shoot was going to be in Stafford, which was going to mean a three hour drive up the motorway. The shoot was planned for a Monday and on the Saturday before I booked to get my nails done. I booked the last appointment of the day, expecting an empty salon, but there was another client there also getting her nails done. I think she was a bit surprised to see me sitting there getting my nails done. They were done in a lovely dark red colour and looked great.

The week prior to the shoot the weather had been really hot, so I was pleased that on the Sunday morning it was much cooler. The journey was pretty good and I only got stuck in one traffic jam and I breezed along s and eventually got to Stafford after 3 hours 34 minutes of travelling.

I woke up fairly early the next morning and had breakfast before the shoot began. The curlers went in fairly easily, once the curlers were set it was time to start on the makeup, it went smoothly, but we did have a problem with an eyelash not sticking and my left eye was watering, which unfortunately plagued us all day.

British Airways Stewardess

Outfit 1 was a full current British Airways stewardess uniform. We initially went inside the studio and whilst Jodie looked on the internet for various poses, I tried to rein act these. Once we were happy with the indoor pictures, we grabbed a small suitcase and did some outdoor pictures with me walking along as if returning from a long flight.

Roses Shirt & Jeans

The next outfit was a long white shirt which has red roses down one side. Again we started off in the studio .Jodie then decided we were going to go outside. I jumped into the back of a buggy and we shot off across the farm. We stopped by a large lake and we took lots of pictures of me sitting and standing by the lake.

Pink Dress

Next outfit  was a lovely pink dress, with matching pink shoes and nude tights. I was getting used to this smiling lark by now, but had gotten into the habit of smiling at Jodie who was  making me laugh and not at Stephen who was behind the camera, which probably every shot had to be taken twice.

Blue Dress

The next outfit was a navy knee length dress with matching shoes.  Jodie thought that this particular outfit would look good outside and there were some yellow bricks on the outside of the house that would offset the dress colour. Again we started off inside the studio, Jodie had made a slight adjustment to my hair so that it draped over my left shoulder. We did the usual poses before moving outside. We took some good shots against the wall and in amongst the flowers.

Cowgirl Outfit

The final outfit of the shoot was a cowgirl outfit, well I was on a farm which is nearly a ranch so it had to be done. After a few minor repairs to the make up, it was time to mosey on down to the studio. It was back to good old google to find some Cowgirl poses, most of which seemed to entail holding the top of my hat.

When went outside in front of the stable doors and got some really good pictures, the final pictures of the day were out in the field, we managed to get some Hay bales and placed them on a nice pile with me sitting on top.
